After 8 hours in the bus, we arrived on the coast. The steep descent from the Andean mountains (3000m of altitude) to sea level was accompanied by a big change in climate, scenery and people. It was like travelling to a different country: huge banana plantations everywhere, houses in wood and thatchered roof, people sleeping in hammocks.

Bahia is a very tiny town with a lovely sandy beach on the Pacific ocean and is our starting point for the Rio Muchacho organic farm where we're going to spend the next 3 days.
