Today, I got the brilliant idea that I should start logging the steps to my school trip. This is my 4th trip taking high school students to Europe. The first one was in June 1998 (8 participants) with a home stay in Paris and a quick jaunt to the French Riviera. The second one was in June and July 2002 (50 participants) to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. After 17 days everyone was pretty tired. I did that one with the German teacher at my school. By the way I am the French teacher at Freedom High School. The third trip was in March 2008 to London, Paris and Normandy. This new one for June 2010 will go to Venice, Italy and Paris, France. I always have Paris since I am the French teacher.
We still have a lot to prepare for this wonderful trip. Getting passports and fundraising among other things.
Until we leave I will write from time about our preparation. I hope, too, that this may help or inspire other teachers in their planning trips with students. Once on the trip I hope to have the time to post our story.
