I was supposed to be starting my advanced scuba diving course today, however I still felt less than on top form so I shuffled things around and I start tomorrow instead.

So today I just chilled in Nungwi, which involved some reading in preparation for my advance course and then watching the remainder of the football matches I had not yet seen from the weekend, plus eating Mudafus.

Unfortunately Nungwi (and Zanzibar to date) does not appear to have hostels which mean I am staying in hotels. Whilst hotels bring certain benefits, like a half decent breakfast and a separate bedroom, they also lack a social/communal area and tend to be more expensive. This can be quite isolating at times especially because I have been so busy in the days and I am falling asleep by 9pm, when everyone else is just going out to party.

I spent the evening playing volley ball, which was bit of a tepid affair today. It was noticed by a few tourists, me included, that the locals were being a being dicks, taking the mikey out of everyone who got there shots wrong, plus there was a missionary group there who I instantly took a disliking too, they were bad but insisted on giving me tips, you can imagine how well that went down!

So after only a couple of games I through the towel in and headed back to my hotel to pick up some dinner and get an early night before the diving at 8:30 in the am.
