Got a really comfortable overnight bus from Rosario - seats were really wide and comfortable and could recline as a bed, we were gived food and drinks including champagne, all very impressive until they dumped us at a bus station at 5am and the next bus was not due until 8.15 am !! It was late so we didn´t end up leaving for the last 2/3 hour stretch of our journey until nearly 9.
Eventually got to our hostel - the Hostel Inn, which is more like a hotel with a big swimming pool in front so that went some way to make up for the long journey. Des and Sheena, the couple we had met in Rosario arrived a while after us. Just chilled by the pool and went to a lovely restaurant that night recommended by the taxi driver (they know everything). The next day we set off for the Falls (the Argentine side), the heat was incredible over 40 degrees but it was so worth it - they are amazing, the energy and the power has to be seen to be believed. I think we were lucky because the water levels were really high, which made them even more impressive than usual. Headed back again that night as there was a full moon and they were doing moonlight walks. I was just as impressed again but poor Ciaran was really sick ie puking over the bridge so I think he could have done without seeing them again !
Summary and Observations
Spectacular, go if you ever get a chance, was definitely one of the highlights of the trip for me ...
