Sitting around the campfire so to speak, we decided to venture out again into Yosemite but this time, why bother with the bus/shuttle?  We packed up from our little campsite and started moving Bubba down the road in hopes of getting to the Sequoia Stand in the southern part of Yosemite.  We have seen mighty redwoods but the giant sequoias are pretty phenomenal and we were soooo close.  Unfortunately Bubba (and Bubba's driver Babe, the amazing Linda) were just a little challenged going into the park and managing the twists and turns so we arrived at this particular area too late to catch a shuttle to go into the woods.  Oh well, we tried.

Bidding a fond farewell to Yosemite, we moseyed onto Visali and yet another charming KOA.  Just there for the night, we had a great dinner, just a little wine and really made the most of the evening.  In one of our planning modes during the evening, we decided well, heck, let’s just run over to Kings Canyon tomorrow and see the mess of giant sequoias there.  Good idea, right?

Since we had already passed up the main road into Kings Canyon National Park, we decided to go a little further south and pick up the bottom road in.  Well, that was interesting as we were about one of 6 vehicles (both ways) on a 40 mile stretch of road.  Lots of chipmunks, squirrels and chickarees though.  At last, we arrived and as we walked through the path of 100 sequoias, we decided it was worth every bit of the road in and out.  Beautiful, amazing trees!  There is no way to photograph them but we tried.
