Arrived in the depths of night really late only 1 am but we have been having very early nights. Took a cab ride at breakneck speed through deserted industrial wastelands and arrived to a spookily half lit lane. The entrance to the courtyard looked really scary, we were told no booking for us but thern let in and ushered into a sparse room went to sleep with our clothes on. then woke up the next day to see we were in the most gorgeous old colonial mansion house with a view of beautiful mountains and volcanoes out of our veranda doors and beautiful sunshine and a really friendly hostel with Friends and Cheers on TV and lovely fresh bread and juice for breakfast and........ hurray hot showers!
