This was nice. Jimmy the guy running for president looked after us. Drank in his bar - a lot. They come pick u up and even drive u home and let u use free internet! Had two nights here. Midnight swimming and many laughs! Caving was awesome reminded me of the phantom. Already confused about what I did where but will get itinerary and update again.
OK I remember now. Caving was Sunday. We went on a caving expedition which involved a long jungle walk with three river crossings on which I stacked the last one on way back so nice bruise there! The caves were awesome. All limestone and sandstone many ?stalligtites? and ?stelligmites? similar to Tunnel Creek in the Kimberleys WA for those of you who've been there. Alot harder to get into though. Lots of swimming in freezing cold water, wading, climbing over rocks and squeezing through small crevices. At the end was a massive cavern filled with old Mayan pots and quite a few skeletons. Very eerie. Some skulls looked alien as high class had their heads distorted with wood compresses. Similar idea to the ladies with many rings around the neck or asian foot binding. The guide Patrick was great he is the large dark man in a sarong bearing a very large knife. Our group was split and we ended up with some English guy who I could hardly understand with bad breath who is an alchi and basically couldn{t really be bothered. Anyway the cavern probably wasn{t as interesting as the geology but he didn{t tell us much about that. ONLY THAT THEY LOOK HULLUNIGENS AND TRIPPED OUT ON THE GLITTERY DANGLY BITS!
Had Italian dinner with guide Steph and Jeanette. Very good Alfredo pasta with prawns and they even were playing Stevie Ray Vaughn! Another night at the bar but not as huge this time as had a long day and big travel day tomorrow.

Philis? That must be you ...
Just to add ... the guy was randomly a Geordie (from Newcastle, england for you foreign types) ... with the most random accent to accompany his death breath .. he kept shaking and sweating and commenting on how he felt unwell and shouldn't have taken the tour .. this is 30 minutes into the caves with 4 of the 5 head tourches on the blink ... some slight panic that we'd be abandoned crossed my mind!

But imagine if we turned out all the lights ond when we turned tham back on someone was missing?! Classic ..
