So I have arrived in Scotland, with my bags no less!

But first - Garry/Sue - so very sorry to be told by Mum that Nora passed away on
Friday. My condolences and sympathies go out to you and the family :(

Before Scotland, a little bit more on Mosaic House. If you are going to stay there, and one night is a Friday, then ask for a room higher than the 1st floor. Because not only does the place itself play loud music fairly late, there is a lovely club nearby that thumps it out into the wee hours of the morning. And it drifts beautifully up into the 1st floor rooms.
Mosaic House tries to be a hotel and a hostel - it succeeds more as a hostel, because it gets more young people in, liquors them up and they can then throw concepts like the consideration of others out the window (if they could grasp that concept in the first place anyway).

Heathrow was a dog and I nearly missed my connecting flight to Edinburgh. The Other Passports line had 4 people operating it it until at one point 2 left to go on a break! I was 45 minutes waiting in that line - plenty of people from all over the Middle East and Africa by the looks of it, and they struggled to fill out forms properly, or just looked really dodgy. Either way it sucked.
So did being told my 150ml of sunscreen was too big - for the love of god airport security is so pathetically anal these days.

Anyway my flight to Edinburgh which I just made sat on the tarmac in a queue of planes for 30 minutes. But my bag was almost the first off the plane!

I remembered to drain my Euro money card of Czech Krowns and convert it to pounds so I have a good start, but will no doubt need to get to an ATM tomorrow as I play golf today and will be spending a bit.

I should have heaps of fun - me sitting in a bar last night with 3 women! Of course Kris and her friends Karen and Di are all playing golf with me over the next week and we should have plenty of laughs. Which is exactly what I need right now.

:)
