Our last few days in Vietnam was spent pretty much eating and shopping :-)

We arrived in Hong Kong on time and the city lights are just amazing. Everything from the skyscrapers, the city street lights, the busy Hong Kong harbour and the giant bridges connecting the islands of HK together, light up the night sky. Wow!!!!

Our hotel is very nice but located in the Kowloon area so quite far from the airport and a little ways from the main city area around Nathan Rd and Mongkok. Our taxi cost $260HKD/$45AUD and took 40min to get there. Still nothing is too far away in Hong Kong and it is very easy to get around. After a good nights sleep we ventured out onto the busy streets for breakfast and Ethan's long awaited birthday gift.

The food and shopping is fantastic here and we spent more than 12 hours doing both. Ethan got his Nintendo DSi and is absolutely chuffed with it. ( He was also sick and tired of shopping by the end of it hahaha) If you’re in Hong Kong be sure to visit the Lady Market area in Mongkok. We met up with Candy, Jenny and Molly in the evening and went out for dinner with them. The Taiwanese desert bars are delicious and very popular, you must try the shaved iced mango desert mmmmmmmmmmmmm. A long day but another good day.

The next day we caught the local double decker bus number 111 to the ferry terminal in Central where we met Lillian and Joan. I haven’t seen Joan since last Feb so it was really great to see her again. We purchased tickets for the 10am ferry to Macau where we will spend 2D/1N.

Macau stay tuned .....
