After an uneventful flight to Chicago O'Hare Airport and a moderately long trip on the local commuter train, we had our first adventure...or misadventure.  Dad got us lost on the way to the hostel.  To make matters worse, we had a young Japenese guy who was following us because Dad heard him say he wanted to go to the Hostel as well.  It took a few extra minutes, and it was every bit as cold and rainy here as in Renton, but we finally got checked in.
The hostel here is really nice! It's almost like a two-star hotel.  We got checked in and had to get some authentic Chicawgah style pizza and found a place where you can draw on the tablecloth with crayons!  The pizza was a little funny...it was deep dish but not really thick, and instead of sauce it had like these tomato chunks on it. <CN>It's right across from a Starbucks, so of course dad knew right where it was.</CN> Still, it was pretty decent.  So now we are winding down, enjoying all that the hostel has to offer before we call it a day.
I hope tomorrow is nicer...I'm so ready to be done with rain.  If nothing else, it is supposed to be sunny and warm in Paris this weekend.  I can't wait.
