Today was kind of a day for new beginnings, but only my friend would understand what I mean. Anyhow it started off with Donna and I getting lost, trying to find a cafe in Brooklyn and a spot to park. Unfortunately after asking around, we decided to just wander around and explore. Getting lost in a city is the best way to find the best things. Brooklyn was definitely not what I expected. It had the city feel to it, yet less crowded. My kind of area..
Our day consisted of relaxing in a cafe, and at McCarren park, also shopping for Donna' uncle, brother and her best friend Adriana. The plan for later in the night was to check out 2 bands at the Mercury Lounge. Honor by August and Red Wanting Blue. In the evening before that we went to Little Italy to visit an Italian Restaurant called Angelo's on Mulberry Street, my friend visits twice a year, but is famous in Brooklyn for it's Italian food. Unfortunately as we were eating outside in the open air, our appetites were little to none...so we headed to The Mercury Lounge to rock it out and have a few drinks that night. After an amazing day it ended up being 3:30am..where I said my goodbyes to Donna, as I got ready for my last sleep before I head home back to Canada..Overall it was an interesting day of fun, excitement, and emotion.
