There has been so much preparation for this trip and I do not feel ready yet - I guess it is never enough. Not ready to leave the comfort of home, the comfort of a place where I speak the language, can read and communicate without any problems...where I have friends...
From tomorrow until September it is going to be a different story: I will be `illiterate`, will have to plan every step carefully and will me completely on my own!
Me and my MP3 player. Yes, music is a wonderful company!
I have taken all precautions, including a `dozen` vaccines!!!
My only concern now is Malaria. I do not really trust the British nurses - they seem all to full of preconceptions; so I have decided to check with the local Tourism Authorities and follow their advice - they know better about their country; so once I get to Baku I will ask the Tourism Information Office if any preventive medicine is necessary in order to avoid being contaminated.
Sometimes I think that I am preparing way too much for this trip. I should just relax and go; but deep inside I know that my previous trips were very successful because of my careful planning.
So, BOA VIAGEM!
