So after returning the car at san fran airport and flying back up to seattle we caught the train and the bus to get to grants house which took a while but grant and emma were on baby duty. However, when we got there we got a big suprise because it was Emma's parents and sister kate who answered the door! We thought that her parents still might be there but we didnt know kate would be, and apparently she suprised everyone! so that was nice. We spent the next few days cooking and cleaning and just helping out around the house, tom even weeded the whole garden and mowed all the lawns!

I had a big cuddle with gorgeous young William. he is adorable, and likes to sleep and eat! Sometimes at the same time which is amusing to see. He's also strong enough to flip himself over from his back to his tummy now so he is very clever! There haven't been many tears, mainly just in between waking up and eating when hes so hungry he could scream! We all know that feeling, even as adults.... He also loves bath time and the even just the sound of running water, calms him right down. I reckon he'll be a swimmer when hes older, if he grows to be anything like grant, long legs and big feet!

Today however was the 4th of July! Exciting event in America! And Grant took us to see the fireworks at the gas works park in the city. His friend Steve has just moved over from Australia so he came with us. We set up our blanket in the beer garden, and then grabbed a table when one became available and thats where we stayed all arvo and all night till the fireworks! It was a lovely day in seattle, the sun was shining and Mt Rainier was out in all her glory looking fabulous just outside the city. We had some beers and some festival food and then at 10:15 the fireworks went off! And boy did they go off! They started them at the end of the national anthem and everyone was cheering and they were all red, blue and white to start off with. They were also very well in time with the music (which you ould actually hear from anywhere you were sitting in the park), so when they said love there were hearts and when katy perry sang boom boom boom three fireworks went off in time to the music. It was very well done, i was impressed. And tom was super impressed with the bombardment of fireworks for the finale. I took a video so you can see the magic.

It was a good night!
