Today we had a big sleep in after being totally exhausted, worked out we had about 15 hours sleep! Just what we needed. We had some breakfast and then went out and explored fishermans wharf and pier 39. It was really super doper windy and cold down at the piers so in between taking photos of the bridge and Alcatraz and the sea lions at pier 39 we had a look in all the shops, and there are a lot of them. More magnet shops for mum, one with a trick mirror which made the shop look twice as long as it was L. Cheeky. We had some chowder for lunch, or I did, in a sourdough bread bowl! It was YUM. It was what everyone was having...except for tom, he had fish and chips and they were yummy as well.

We finished looking in all the little shops and then we decided to go for a walk up to Lombard street to check out 'the worlds crookedest street'. It is very crooked, and packed with cars all trying to drive down it and avoid hitting the pedestrians standing in the middle of the road trying to get photos of it. The hill up to it was ridiculously steep but we made it, and then the footpath on either side of the bendy section had tiny steps so it was not as bad. Standing at the top of the crookedest street you definitely understand why they put some bends in it, apart from the obvious fact that it will draw tourists to the city. The road is sooooooo steep and just a long massive hill. And theres houses on each bend of the road and they would have a hard time getting in and out of their driveways, even when the street wasn’t filled with curious onlookers.
