So we discovered that our accommodation is still under construction, only the fourth floor, minus the bathrooms, have been completed. So thats nice. not. well kind of. the room is really nice, and its just me and tom in some bunk beds with a nice green rug on the floor. but the rest of the hotel is a shambles. Oh well, it was cheap and available, which much of the rest of new york accommodation was not. So we'll deal. we have a bed each so thats all that matters, and our own room to store our bags in safely so thats good.
we arrived in NYC at like 8am, but it already felt like noon...so when the guy said it was a bit early for check-in i didnt realise how early we actually were. but he was keen to show us around the 4th floor of what is the beginnings of his baby, his hotel, and we discovered noone was in our room last night so we were able to checkin straight away! bonus.
So we went out and had a look around, just to get our bearings. There are a lot of police cars and they have ridiculous sounding sirens. Its quite funny.
We then went to a laundromat!!!!! to do our washing, since i have no clothes left and was wearing the same jeans everyday in niagara falls. ew. so we washed and dryer-ised and what didnt dry after 6 quarters worth of minutes in the dryer, we brought home and hung up around our room.
we had some dinner and showered and then tom fell asleep at about 6pm while ive been catching up on blogs! So its now 8:30pm and its still not dark out but the most current blog is done! So I;m off to sleep too so we can get up super early to explore new york for realz tomorrow! whoopee :D
