After hours upon hours of flying and no sleep, I had travelled back in time, crossing the International Date Line as I flew! I went from being 13 hours in front of UK time to being 8 hours behind, and my body had no idea what time it was supposed to be!!! I checked into my hotel early in the morning and slept... a lot! The hotel was beautifully luxurious, I felt very lucky. I was used to squeaky smelly bunk beds in a sticky carpeted room shared by 10 people and communal showers! Now I had a double bed, toiletries, a bath robe, wide screen TV, hangers for my clothes, an iron, bottled water and a BATH!!!! I was really looking forward to a bath! I was also especially pleased about the unlimited supply of shower gel, as I had been washing with shampoo for the last week!!

That evening I was reunited with my family... My Mum, Step-Dad Ian and my Brother Rob. I was so pleased to see them, and being the softies that we are, Mum and I got a little emotional. I had missed them all very much. So we celebrated with a drink at the bar followed by a delicious meal out... (no more instant noodles, YAY)!

We all woke early in the morning due to all body clocks being out of sync and headed down for breakfast. All set for the day we headed out to the Hollywood Hills for that all important snap of the HOLLYWOOD sign. We spent time on Hollywood Boulevard checking out the 'Walk of Fame', Mann’s Chinese Theatre, The Kodak Theatre and all of the interesting people that came with it.

We then made our way to Rodeo Drive for my ‘Pretty Woman’ debut, it was pretty cool! We only window shopped of course... although I wouldn’t have minded spending lots of money there if it was available!!

We spent time driving around the Boulevards in awe of the vast expensive celebrity houses that surrounded us before heading to Malibu Beach for the final part of our day. We sat outside the famous restaurant Gladstone’s eating shellfish and drinking lovely wine, with a perfect view of the ocean and the sun setting in the Californian sky. What a perfect way to spend a day with the people you love.

I want to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS as I may not blog now until after Christmas Day. I hope Santa brings you all very special things and that you have all been good this year! Christmas wishes from LA xxx
