Where I stayed
So it was goodbye to Australia and hello to yet another country. Unfortunately for me I was not going to be travelling all over New Zealand, which I wish I was able to and to rub salt into the wounds, the only place I was able to see of this beautiful country was Auckland, (not the most exciting of places). I had travelled a fair bit the day I arrived and I had a very long journey ahead of me, so I used my time here to relax and catch up on sleep that I would be missing out on in the days to come.
I did spend time wandering around the city, which really didn't take up much of my day as it is so small. Auckland is built on a big Harbour with all of the usual things you would find in a city, such as shopping malls, cinema complexes, sky towers with viewing platforms, museums, galleries, theatres and more. What I didn’t like about Auckland was that all of that was crammed into a very small area and did not depict the true traditions of the Kiwi culture.
I want to add some picture to this blog of all of the beautiful places I was missing out on seeing on both the North and South Islands of New Zealand.
I suppose it just means that one day I’ll have to come back... what a shame :-) !!!!!
