Today I went on an adventure to North Vancouver to see the Capilano suspension bridge. I'd been there before when I was 10 and we had come out for a family holiday so I decided I should go back and have a look around.
I hopped on the shuttle bus down at Canada Place and our tour guide Ross gave us a brief but entertaining commentary of the sights on the way up to the bridge.
Once we arrived I went off to look at the totem poles and read about their history which was cool, I learnt how tribes got their names and that human hair was sometimes used to decorate the totems (eeeew)
The forest was absolutely gorgeous so I took a Lot of pictures lol, and I tried really hard to get a good shot of this huge owl that I saw on the treetop walkway but my camera wouldn’t focus so its a black blob in a tree lol
It was interesting seeing all the Nurse trees with smaller trees growing out of them, and the giant tree that had fallen onto the bridge but hadn’t managed to snap it. There was also some really nice hand carved seats around the park which were nice to sit and admire the views from.
Also, in the spirit of revisiting places, I took another bike ride around the Sea Wall at Stanley Park. It was a gorgeous day and the view from the cafe by Second beach was fantastic <3
Im really glad I went back; it was just as good as I remembered it J
