Since the last blog we seemed to have covered a few more miles. Carmel is a lovely town which we were shown around by Billy's relatives. It is slightly similar to Cornwall and we spent the first morning walking the dogs on a dog beach, followed by the 17 Mile Drive around Pebble Beach - a very exclusive golf course, for those of you that don't know! A few properties were for sale with a price tag of $20million overlooking the ocean. Maybe one day......

As we had a few more days that we thought, we spent a day in Yosemite National Park. Definitely worth the visit if only to see the huge Giant Sequoia trees. We saw one so big, we could walk through it! Mum gave me some advice to hug one, just because it feels nice, so I did! Lots of wildlife sightings - deers and coyote but unfortunately no bears.

The next stop was Sacramento then onto Napa Valley. We looked around the vineyard of Chateau Montellena but didn't do any tasting - we don't know enough about good wine yet!

We're now just outside San Francisco in San Rafael. We drop the car off tomorrow so lots of walking from then on.

We should have chance for one last post before on to the next country.

Glad you went to Yosemite. That was one of our favourite places when we did a California. Is Clint Eastwood from Carmel.
Best wishes.
