No matter how many people wished us a Merry Christmas it just didn't feel like it! This probably had something to do with the scorching 30 degrees heat outside and the lack of 'Christmas hype' that we have at home. Christmas was quite different for us this year, being thousands of miles from our families and friends, no work drink ups and not a turkey in sight. We opted for a barbie with our friends in the park, it was nothing like my mum's spread but we didn't go hungry with a gourmet spread of sausages, burgers and chicken kebabs yummy. It was certainly a stress free day, the only thing we had to worry about was keeping the beers cold!
So while you were just getting up for Christmas morning we were well in to the evenings festivities, squashing practically our whole block of flats in to our neighbours place for the nights booze up - it was great fun! Sod tradition this is what Christmas should be like - if only we had the weather at home. We did keep one tradition however, eating and drinking far too much. Pop!
