Today was a wonderful day even though I know I called you Petey and I was crying again, but really it was a very relaxing easy day.  We found the laundry mat for tomorrow and went to a place called St. Catherine which is where the first woman to be named a saint was in 1317.  We were not suppose to take pics, but the guy in the gift shop was sleeping so I took video which you will see.  When we went in the gift shop I had a camera around my neck and started asking him questions about taking pictures without flash.  He said we could not and then started rewinding the tape to see what we were doing in the church.  We left quickly.  We then went to a meat market that was named in Rick Steve's book that has the original owners and is suppose to be really good.  We went in and they had cheese on the top of the counter like Schnucks and stuff when they are giving samples so I reached for a piece and it was a womans in front of me.  She yelled at me and I snapped my hand back.  In Italy the Italians eat at the counters after ordering and stand there and eat.  It was funny, Mick and I were laughing and then decided we should order a little of meat and sausage.  In Rick's book it talks about a picnic lunch they make for around 15 euros.  I told the guy just small plate, please.  Well 21 euros later the stupid americans were taken again.  We went to our balcony and drank some wine and ate our salami and cheese and looked at the beautiful landscape.  We then played cards in the small hallway of our B&B and drank some beer and met Allen and Theresa from California.  I was getting ready to beat Mick's ass so we quit playing and talked to them.  Anyway, since we spent our Euros with the meat market we had to go to the corner and get 2 slices of pizza for 6.50 euros and that came with a Cola.  Each piece was the biggest piece of pizza we ever had.  It was the size of a small frozen Tony's party pizza from home.  We then went to get Gelato (ice cream) and we walked the main strip with all the beautiful young Italians.  It is Friday night and they were out full force and dressed to kill.  It is amazing how we dress big and saggy in America (boys and girls) and here and when in London everything was tight, small to the waist in coats and shirts and tight jeans.  The girls all wear the leggings with boots to the knee.  Very, very chic and way out of Missouri league.  Anyway, we will be here tomorrow and since we took pictures of almost anything worth seeing we will send what we have today and probably not have much tomorrrow.  Oh, but tomorrow in Palio Campo square it is market day, aka flea market.  All the tables were set up today so that will be interesting and we will be doing some wash.  Talk to you all tomorrow and signing out for now......

Mom on

OK you silly Americans, please be careful and don't get arrested. We won't be able to come and bail you out. These pictures are beautiful. The people here at work are sharing your adventure along with me. I guess I will have some catching up on Monday. Wonder if they would fire me if the crowd around my desk gets too big. Enjoy this wonderful opportunity that you have.
We all miss you, but we all will enjoy your stories when you get back. Love to you both.
