We are now legal to drive here. We picked up our drivers licenses from the Police Station in town this morning. It costs $20 for a license that is good for one year. They let you smile for your picture here and we actually like our DL pics. I guess it's easy to take a nice picture when you are totally relaxed and moving on island time.
Right now it is pouring rain here, a real tropical downpour. I am hoping that it quits soon as I want to be able to open up our car and dry it out. Those little convertibles always leak. Nothing worse than driving around on a wet seat. Right, Avis?
While it rains we are comfortable in our room or out on the covered lanai reading and glancing up every once in awhile to take in the still stunning view. I am reading Stephen King's latest thriller, 11/22/63, about a man who travels back in time to try and change history by preventing the assassination of JFK. Diane is reading Devine Justice by David Baldacci which is a mystery thriller.
Deb and Owen, the chance of me feeding that dog are about the same as me getting up at 6 am or having a couple of bananas for breakfast every day. It is getting lots of attention from others, especially the folks from the UK who seem to love dogs.
Happy Hour again today and another opportunity to try a decadent tropical drink.
Yesterday we had a Raro Lady and a Pink Mama. Today, who knows?
Thanks again for your comments.

I hope you got the recipes for those great sounding drinks... then maybe we can have a Cook Islands night back here in boring ol' Calgary and you two can be the bartenders? Sounds good to me!
Count me in to the Cook Island night! Jealous jealous jealous....
Don't forget us!!
Hope the rain has stopped so you can
dry out the car!
But it did sound quite cozy--reading mysteries in
a downpour.
Raining here too--but just a drizzle.
I did a book event this morning...sponsored by Cheerios cereal.
Breakfast and a Book. Not sure if Cheerios has reached
"down under" etc.
Me again---I want that pavlova!
Do you have a picture of the dog??
