Our last day in Turkey and off to Greece - the last country on our trip! It is so crazy how quickly 3 months has passed! Our flight was after 3 and so to get to the airport in time we had an arranged pick up at just before 1pm. As we didn't have to check out until 12 it made sense to sleep in a bit and to just have an easy morning. Even though yesterday had been quiet we have tours almost every day in Greece and then the cruise which is likely to involve drinking and late nights so we didn't mind doing nothing again.

After a good sleep, I had some breakfast and did all the bits and pieces I needed to on the Internet: Facebook photos, dream team, travelpod and Skype and then we basically lazed around playing games and things until we were picked up. At the airport we had to go brought security before checkin in which I think is the first time we have had to do that. Our big packs plus our carry on luggage were x-rayed and we were checked out as well. Then we had to check in, go through passport control and then go through security again! It was a long process!

Once we were through we decided we would have a late lunch. We had only had bits and piece for breakfast and we would just crash when we got to the room so it was a good time to have some hot food. We smashed some Burger King and then headed to our plane. The flight was only just over an hour so I basically gazed out the window and then stared more intently as some of the Greek Islands came into view. We were given rolls an biscuits on the plane and as we had just eaten we stashed these for dinner.

When we arrived in Athens we were met by a legend of a tour guide who had a little 'Beard' sign (written in English and Greek). He was just really naturally chatty and really really helpful with all our tours. Some of them weren't offered on the days we had initially booked and so he had reshuffled things to make sure we didn't miss anything. He had a little pack for us containing all our vouchers, a city map and some Greek language tips. He also pointed out all the sights on the way to our hotel, he helped us check in and gave us his mobile in case of emergencies :) when we checked in we were given free drink vouchers that we cold use at our rooftop restaurant which we will probably check out tomorrow night. When we got into the room I unpacked everything which was really exciting as I haven't done that for a couple of weeks. I can now bury my wooly clothes as I won't be needing them here! We got all our gear organised or tomorrow's day trip to Delphi and then went to sleep.
