Woke up early.....very early by European standards but as my breakfast would only be ready by 8am, I was able to hit the road just after eating and make the most of the short days in wintery Prague.

Was planning to do the Jewish quarter, but as it was Saturday and their holy day, I would not be able to visit many of the Jewish attractions and instead opted to visit Karlovy Most, or as it is known in English: Charles bridge. It is a lovely pedestrian bridge staddling the Vltava river; the river running through Prague. It has a gorgeous tower on both sides, and religious statues all along the sides of the bridge.

After spending a leisurely hour on the bridge. I started walking along the area on the other side....the Kafka museum, checking out the river activity, visiting a park nearby, admiring the magnificent houses, buildings, doors and windows of the neighbourhood known as Malastranska.

Returned to the Xmas market in the Old Town later in the day, and enjoyed some more gluhwein and streetfood there.

The evening was spent at the Estates Theatre attending a peformance of Mozart's opera Don Giovanni. I really enjoyed the opera, and felt extremely priviledged to be able to witness it being performed in this magnificent old opera theatre.
