. After this we headed back to the creek and sure enough it had gone down to 0.2 meters but we weren't going to cross it until we saw someone else do it so we parked up and waited for some other cars. After about 5 mintes there were about 7 of us parked there waiting for someone else to do it first and then another car came from the other side and crossed it safely after that we all piled in and crossed it, it was like the Italian Job (but without the minis or bank robbery- so not that much like it at all) with all of us in a little convoy up to Cape Trib. When we got there we were very pleased we had the tour booked as there's not a lot there although we did see a Cassowary which was very cool. The Jungle Canopy was excellent as we went through the trees on these wires and harnesses, we went slow, quick on our on, in tandem and upside down...excellent, our helmets said I was Barbie and Loz was Mad Max.
Next day we were off on another boat trip, this time the Sailaway III which was a sail boat, the weather was pants going out which made it very choppy and people were throwing up left right and centre. We got to the Low Isle and did some snorkeling, this was good as we swam with 3 turtles, some reef sharks and some really cute Clown Fish, just like Nemo. The journey back was a bit better and I don't think anyone chucked up so that was good. In the evening we went to the Court House pub as it was St Patricks Day and they had an Irish Band playing, they were quite good and soon enough a few pissed people were up and dancing with green wigs on, in fact one really reminded me us of Andy when he's pissed and Di's telling him off.
We were up really early today as we were off to Cape Tribulation and had the Jungle Canopy tour booked for 9:45. To get to Cape Trib you have to go over this wire ferry thing which was really cool and only took a few minutes but oh my god what a boring job that must be just going backwards and forwards over this little cable all day. Anyway after that we just needed to head north for about another 45 minutes and we'd be there unfortunately to get there we had to go over a creek and it had rained alot the night before so this was impassable, the water measurement showed 0.4 metres and it was flowing really fast, we spoke to a couple of locals who said that you should only cross it if it was 0.2 meters or less so that was it we were stuck. We re-arranged our tour for 1:30 and went to the Daintree Canope Centre for a little walk about, whilst here we saw a couple of Golden Orb Spiders, blimey I nearly pooped my pants, they are really big and have long red legs, I'm just glad it was sitting in it's web
