So I decided to commission my very first Classic Thai Scooter.
I have just bought a Honda C70 cub who's original colour dates it to circa 1970/1971. It is in a pretty poor state of dis-repair. The good news is, that incuded in the purchase price is a full custom rebuild to my spec. I have chosen the colour (two tone paint scheme which will be very eye catching in a classic style), the shocks, the engine casing finish, the Bodywork style (single seat with rack configuration) and everything right down to the carb tuning and air filter! This is going to be "my" bike! The good news is it will hardly loose any value as they did me a great deal and these bikes are "desirable" to say the least!
The traditional Thai outlook is that "new is best". But with bikes there is a notable retro scene here in Korat and in other provinces. I have already got two bike rallys booked in my diary for December, the first one will be on my Tena, but the second will be aboard my freshly completed Honda C70. I can't wait!!! Christmas is going to be seriously cool this year! Well, about 20 degrees C actually...
So can I share some pictures with you?
