We left Visalia to go to Modesto to see our friend, Gretchen. She and her family moved to Yosemite back in April. Her husband, Jay works for the NPS. We have missed them so much and it was wonderful to see her and the kids. Unfortunately, Jay had to work today. :(
We met at this great Italian place. There we met a Native American man would was kind enough to take a picture with the clown. He posed asked us if we wanted to see a buffalo head nickel and posed in profile. (very funny)

Over 5000 miles driven, so it was time for a much needed oil change. We found this awesome place that is a car wash, oil change place, luggage/travel shop, restaurant and caterer that has been owned by the same family for 4 generations. There were so many dead bugs on the car that they sent it through twice! I wish that it wasn't so far because they did a great, great job.

After lunch and a sad see you later, we drove to San Francisco. As soon as we got closer, there was the fog. The hotel was great and boy, was it COLD!
But it was a nice break from the heat.
Tomorrow is my Aunt's birthday, we are putting her in jail on her special day...Alcatraz!
