It was hard leaving San Diego knowing that Tom would be there a few days after us for work. What re the chances? We made stop in La Jolla. It was beautiful. The seals were sunning themselves, the seagulls flying, and the sunbathers frying.
Of course as we got closer to LA the traffic began.
After we checked in, we met up with Renee's step-daughter, River, her daughter, Sarah and River's boyfriend, Andy. They were all super nice and it had been ages since I saw River, it was a wonderful visit. :)
It felt good to go to sleep later.

I'm enjoying your trip and revisiting many places.. Are you going up the Big Sur...Monteray, Carmel, Santa Barbara, Hearst Castle? Great trip.(.Mary, my blue cardigan sweater I bought in Carmel or Monteray. You always liked that wool cardigan.)

I've Taken this cross country trip several times and this brings all the memories back. Of course, San Francisco. I'm looking forward to going to New Mexico and Santa Fé again with you all;o). It's such a great trip and glad your Mom & Dad gets to see it all.

You'll not head up to the Muir forrest I think when I look at your map. That would be out of your way or to Napa Valley. It would take time. Next time;o)

River looks the same but a little thinner. Sarah was two and half when we took one of our trips and they were living in Oakland, CA. She used my new camera which we bought in Oakland-Olympus my first before digital but a great camera. I'll have to look at my old photo album of that trip when I get home to Florida. You got me to reliving my past trips. Did Sarah name Bubba/ButtonsDollar/Tex?

I see you will be passing Havasu City and it doesn't look as if you'll stop. I remembered we stopped there. Interesting. Doesn't look as if you will go down Canyon Creek from Flagstaff to Sedona?? Will you do Lake Powell? That's an interesting town and dam. Thanks for all the good photos, makes me think... "You are there" wasn't there a program once which took you to places around the world.
