For all the walking we did yesterday, today we sat about the same time, at least it felt like it.
We took several breaks. One of which was Rayne, LA 'Frog Capital of the World." We didn't have a chance to ask the locals just how many frogs you have to have to qualify for such a title as it really should have been named, "Mosquito Capital of the World", thank you!
Monsieur Jacques was there and was so kind to take a photo with us.

My Aunt Gigi called and told us a little saying that is so appropriate..."Sundown to Sunset, you still haven't seen all of Texas yet." Boy, ain't that the truth! We crossed the border and would you know there are over 880 miles of highway across Texas?! I knew it was big but, woah!

Got to San Antonio around 9. Will be going to bed as soon as I get the wash.
Considering we were all stuck in a minivan together for 9 hours today, we still managed to have a good time. :)

Oh, almost forgot, the woman at the welcome center has named the clown, Tex.

Yes, the Welcome lady could be related to your clown - the new- Tex!
Buttons/Bubba Dollars/ Tex. Waiting to see what other names he will collect?

It was over 30+ years ago when Corbett & I were traveling with the Baker girls and as we entered Texas State Line...the Triple AAA had the little poem we all remember to this day.... "The sun has riz, the sun has set and you ain't seen all of Texas yet!!!!!"

Glad your longest day is behind you.

Fascinating Frog Fact - one of their favorite foods is the mosquito...can you imagine how bad it would be if there weren't that many frogs? No wonder they've build a monument!
