No Mantas on Manta Reef, unfortunately! Apparently they used to be here all of the time but recently they've disappeared and noone really knows why! The dive was pretty good though. It was a flat bit of reef that you could swim over and there were loads of fish. I think it was a Manta cleaning station because we saw a lot of the little cleaner wrasse.

We saw a honeycomb moray eel in a hole. The moray eels here are much smaller than the ones in Egypt, I'm not sure if they are juviniles or just smaller. There was also a blotched fantail ray which stayed around for a while. It didn't seem phased by us all.

The dives sites were about 40mins from the bay so we had a long trip back in the hot sun to look forward too which I wasn't too happy about. Not long after we'd set off back to shore the boat crew spotted a whale shark! The boat headed over so we could see. I couldn't see anything, I think I was expecting a fin or something, but then I finally spotted it.

The crew told us to get our mask and snorkel ona nd we all got in hoping it would stay around. It did. We got to swim with it for about 10 minutes before it dived down out of site. There were only 5 of us in the water and we were much smaller than it so I don't think it was bothered at all by us. I managed to get quite a few lovely pictures even though I wasn't really looking at my camera and just swimming with the shark.

That certainly made the boat trip back a lot better!!!
