Well we now only have 43 days left and seeming as its now 8.30pm, you could say this day is nearly over so technically its only 42. The last ten days seem to have flown by which is scary as it means it will soon be upon us! Therefore, I decided it was time to start getting together a few travel essentials as set out in my "First-Time Around the World" travel book. So far I have bought out the entire pharmacy in Boots as you can see by my picture!

Ive also set out about buying a new pair of spectacles because, well, the book told me to get some rugged ones and also because i found the 62 year old Admin Assistant in work has the same pair (thankfully also female) Its not as great an achievement as you would believe for a 28 year old.....moving on!

So I am now on the hunt for a first aid kit to tide me over in case I have any cuts or grazes that need attending to. I have my diarrhoea tablets in the event of 'Hong Kong Dog' as they call it or more famously known as Delhi Belly, my headache pills for the hangovers and most importantly plasters for my sore feet. Ive packed a few items already and as you can see by my picture, my case is already bulging! Its all coming together nicely i feel.

I decided last night to do a quick check on my itinerary and found that most of my flights are showing on the Qantas website now, so that has made this even more real and also pleased that the bloke who sold us the Round the World ticket, wasn't just ripping us off!! So there we go and the countdown continues.......
