I think we are snowing and eating ourselves into oblivion! We get up each morning and it's still snowing! One metre fell last night onto of the last two days fall. And it's still snowing. So great for skiing, which after 4 days of lessons we can now get down the moutain by ourselves. We are very happy to have progressed so far and should be pros by the end of the week.
Our ski instructor Sebastian has been very patient and so friendly, a country boy from Salzburg who has just started his first Lech ski season was happy to befriend us all and we shouted him a drink of hot chocolate for his 22nd birthday this afternoon. We haved lined him up for reciprocal surf lessons if he can come to Margaret River!

Food: we start with breakfast, cereal, fruit, fresh rolls with salami, ham and cheese, boiled eggs and more fresh bread. Which keeps us going down the slopes till lunch.
Lunch- so many choices at the various pensions we visit on the slopes, Austrian food is hearty and filling, especially on a cold day, goulash soup, spetzle, schnitzel, sausages of numerous types! You leave refueled for the afternoon runs.
Dinner- at our hotel consists of 4 courses, last night we all thought we should roll to bed if we weren't up stairs. the dinning restaurant is decorated in traditional style with carved wooden ceilings and tradItional furniture. The wait staff all wear traditional Austrian dress. The food is great and seems to just keep coming! All washed down with some beer and wine of course!

The after skiing drinks are an essential family gathering where the three families meet up after skiing. For gluvine- mulled wine, beer or a hot chocolate. We have frequented the same bar everyday they have us free shots
This afternoon!
An afternoon nap or book read helps the muscles relax before dinner and a good night's sleep.
Dave asked why we were only spending one week here!
