As morning or should I say late morning dawned, our desire to stay for a couple of extra days in Vegas had waned and we decided it was probably best to use the day for recovery and stick to the plan of moving on to California on Sunday. The next move was probably questionable at best, but we decided to try and sweat the hangovers out by walking the length of the strip and taking in the sights ….Paris, Ceasers Palace, by the time we had made it to New York, New York we were ready for some food. An Irish pub was perfect, or so we thought… Si ordered eggs benedict and Lou, for whom sweating out the hangover hadn’t really worked, ordered her staple hangover cure of mashed potatoes, gravy and peas (go figure??)…. Unfortunately the cure didn’t quite do its magic, so we bid adieu to New York and started make our way back to the Palazzo for a snooze – not an easy journey as there were no cabs to be had and we had to find our way to the monorail. Safely back in the room and after a couple of hours kip the world was looking bright again, so we headed down to one of the seven pools to kick back & chill for the afternoon. Hot sun, cold beer and a pool to refresh the senses – perfect!! Back to Venice for dinner at an Italian restaurant, fantastic food and a great way to cap a hedonistic 48 hours
