Grant's Farm & The American Transportation Museum

Flag of United States  , Missouri
Thursday, May 30, 2013

Today we did some sightseeing at Grant's Farm and the Transportation Museum. The Farm was a wedding gift to Ulysses S Grant, later purchased by the Busch Family. We took a tram ride around the 281 acres the home is situated on with over 900 animals representing over 100 species. It's owned and operated by Anheuser-Busch. We had the pleasure of sampling whatever beer we wanted even though it was 10:30 AM!!!!! We got to see and pet one of the clydesdales along with camels, llamas, eagles, kangaroos, zebras, ostrichs, flamingo (must have been from FL). We were like little kids at the zoo, see pics!!!
The Transportation Museum had trains, cars and an old tug boat. Very interesting (to Larry)!!!
