The sun graced us with its presence in Cardiff (pretty momentous occasion for us by this point) so every park we walked past was packed with students sunbathing. Yes, people really do wear their bathers down to the park, maybe that is why the murky green fountain has 'no swimming' signs on it. And Cardiff city has a lot of parks, most of which surround the curious castle, seemingly designed from different buildings stuck randomly together.
The students seemed to be up to usual antics, including floating down the river in an inflatable castle.
The waterfront area was pleasant if not particularly memorable, and was also really crowded with people enjoying a beer outside.
