By contrast to Hiroshima, Nagasaki is not quite so defined by its A bomb history, but rather as the place where Westerners first had influence and access to Japan.
Western style houses remain as an open air museum and there are even 2 large Catholic churches (although one has a virgin Mary with a suspicious resemblance to Buddha).
