The road from San Martin was unpaved and potholed (at one point the bus got bogged) so the 100km trip was a 4 hour trial of patience and we arrived, map-less, in the dark, to find everything closed.
We awoke to find everything covered with a white frosting of snow - other tourists were most unimpressed, we took the opportunity to test our snowball throwing prowess. Sadly the national park we came to see was closed due to the snow but we walked to the peninsula anyway for views of the lakes and the snow covered trees.
