Word OF the DAY!!!!

Hogar-Home.

And so, here I am. The same city, the same keyboard, the same rolly chair where this all started. Home?

I'm not sure. All I know is that I am glad to be here. Though I miss my loved ones in Mexico greatly, I also realized how much I missed all of the people in little ol' Tampa, Florida. I even miss the salty fishy smell on a warm summer night as I cross the Courtney Campbell bridge. In fact, I adore it.

I'm adjusting quite well, hopping right back into the swing of things, and the pool, at least once a day. The hardest part has come with little things, like my anal retentiveness in wanting to recycle everything, and my inability to grasp that everyone, and I mean everyone, has an Iphone.

I was so lucky to come back to literally open arms at Grace Lutheran this past week. Every little old lady told me how good it was that I was back and for a story about Mexico. Well boy do I have stories. But, we probably don't have the time nor the attention span for all of those now do we?

Not only were there little old ladies (hope that doesn't offend you, age is just a number mate), there were also the wonderful youth at Grace. We just got back from a Youth Works service trip all the way up I-95 in North Carolina. Service work, white water rafting, and good ol' southern love. Our group got the pleasure of serving with four other groups from around the country, including Delaware (woot woot!) Ohio, Chicago, and Georgia. Couldn't be a better way to come back.

I spoke a bit with a fellow traveler close to my age at Youth Works. She first posed the idea that maybe God wants us to stay in one place to truly know and serve one another. Then, to totally blow my mind she said that maybe we were supposed to know and serve as many people and places as possible. I guess I'll be figuring these two questions out over the next year.

Well, I'm at a loss dear friends. All I know is that I have an itch to know and see more. I've learned to love so passionately and intensely this past year that I'm sure if I can't handle another goodbye right now. So for now, I'll bask in the bright sun and humid air and soak up all of the good people I'm around. This is not a good bye, but a see you later. I'll let you know if I decide to head out again. Until then, be well and much love!

Thanks for reading,

Aaron
