We took a day trip from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, the old capital of Thailand. It is known for its Temples scattered around the tranquil, peaceful town. Even though the bus ride there took about 3.5 hours for only 35km distance, it was great to experience. We would probably stay overnight next time since the temples get illuminated and the view must be spectacular.
