On our way to Mexico we stopped in Quetzaltenango aka Xela which turned out to be the perfect pit stop especially since it was Halloween. The mountain town was charming and the people friendly. Our trip was brief but we would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice way to break up the trip from Antigua to San Cristobal.
