2 Sept
We reported to the Florentine Dining room at 8.40am to go thru the customs formalities and I must say it was a lot more friendly and efficient dealing with NZ Customs & MAF because they treat you more like a tourist, whereas the Americans are exactly the opposite and they treat you more like a terrorist until proven otherwise. On a lighter note we enjoyed the Passengers talent show this afternoon where 2 Aussie men recited Banjo Paterson poems, one all 13 verses of "The Man from Snowy River" this is no mean feat. The Australians like this old bush poet, I must Google him.
We spent some of the day and the next day doing the packing & we ended up with an extra case Didon an extra bag too. We enjoyed the ship's choir's performance as they sang songs from around the world covering each country visited in the past 3 months and it was a great credit to the choir and Alan & Alana, the cruise ship's entertainers, who had put in lots of time and effort. We said a lot of good bye’s and we all hope to meet again sometime.

4 Sept
After an early start at 6am we came around North Head and sailed into Auckland harbour at 6.30am tied up at Princess wharf at 6.55. Walked off the ship at 8.40 where Jo, Anne, Robyn, Wendy,Bri & Mela were all there to meet Di & Don followed by Doug & Wilhelmina who picked us up at 9.10, how we got all our bags and 4 people in Doug's car beggars belief. We drove home arriving at 9.30am. A beautiful sunny Auckland day- what a nice HOME coming.
