Early start to the day. We were up for breakfast at 8. Paivi from Finland ran the programs today. We ended up with 5 members from Tanzania with us for this week. We did a couple activities and then broke for another breakfast! Apparently we had had a prebreakfast earlier:)

We learned a Tanzanian 4H song. It is beautiful when they sing it...we kind of butcher it when we try to pronounce the Swahili words. But they are very kind and cheer us on. The kids identified values of leaders and why they choose them and broke to eat again... Think I'm going to gain a few pounds this week! It was out turn to share so we taught them the 4H grace. In the afternoon, mr. Goliama from the 4h Tanzania organization spoke to us about 4h here. There are 45,000 members here! Did another group called the leadership river in which they had to identify difficulties and motivators as a leader. Interesting how even in different countries we face much of the same challenges!

There is a staff member here named Abia Richard (who reminds us all of Ryley) and he plays volleyball with a local team. So he made arrangements for us to go to the courts to play volleyball this afternoon. Little did he tell us that they play nationally!! The coach even ran us through the warm up drills! They divided up the team and mixed them up with our kids at least but it was evident not only how good they are but how competitive they are! However, momma skye did well and even scored a couple points! Returned to the centre for some free time and then ....... We ate again! Free time this evening and we are playing card games with the students.

Met with Susan and Bernard, the organizers here, and Paivi tonight and we have some things coming up that are very exciting...**hint to stay posted to this blog!

Quieter day but the kids are fairing well. Very participative and I think they are enjoying themselves. The Tanzanian members are quite quiet so we are going to try to change that! We do our day on Thursday and we are going to get them talking.

Piavi has now invited us to Finland in 2015.... Oh boy... See a trend starting......
