The week after I last did an entry I got so ill, hense the lack of update. It was my fault, I took an anti-malarial while I was lying down. And those things are so strong, it burnt ulcers into my osophagus. So for like a week I had the worst chest pains and I could hardly eat solids. Finally I saw a decent Doctor after a few attempts, and he gave me the medicine.

Nothing significant happened that week. I spent a lot of time in bed, trying to work out why fans make warm air seem cold. I really wanted to ask Dad coz he definitely knows. I decided that maybe as the air moves it loses heat energy. And to be honest, the only other reasonable conclusion that I came to was that I've gone absolutely crazy.

This week was so much better. I met all the American students, there's like 15, and went to Tsavo N.P on safari with them. We saw everything... giraffe, elephants, water buffalo, zebra. Unfortunately - Hakuna simba. That means no lions. My swahili is so impressive... We had a very fun time, especially when the water bucks started mating. So the truck pulled up and switched off the engine as if to say "Ok we gota see this one." It was hilarious... Same happened with elephants. There's like 10,000 elephants in Tsavo. It's the biggest National Park in Kenya, second biggest in Africa. It's the size of Israel you know... So after I consulted my National Geographic I realised that Israel is tiny in comparison to nearly every country haha.

We stayed in 'luxury' camp sites, which means... like a wooden shack with tented walls. But it had beds... even a bathroom with a good shower and a flushing loo. We find this is luxurious. There's also a big lake where we saw hippopotamus that's so awesome. There's this hilarious sign saying "Attention of: Lions, crocodiles, hippos, etc". Don't you just love what that "etc" stands for?
Let me tell you this camp had good food too. Amongst other things, real English sausages for breakfast... and for dinner... fish in batter and sliced up potatos English style. It was soo good.

Moving on from the Tsavo trip... I'm back in Mombasa now and getting back into the Red Cross work... went to a slum yesterday. And for this week we're arranging to go to really extreme poor orphanages.

Having a beach party on Sunday for the Youth workers at Red Cross it's gona be jokes. Taking a picnic and stuff... just going to chill out on Kenyatta beach all day and get my suntan on.

And todays very special news is that I was sick this morning. Not a pleasant experience. Call me Sherlock Holmes, but I think it has something to do with the goat I ate last night which was practically bleeding and breathing. And for those who were wondering, goat is very tender and similar to I think what we call lamb.

That also reminds me, there's a huge shortage of chicken in Mombasa because of Rift Valley Fever. Even when there is chicken, it has no meat on it. Can't wait to get home and have a whole breast fillet. I'm kind of off meat anyway because of Rift Valley. Joseph (the servent) has gone home to his family because his wife is suspected to have Rift Valley.

I've written way more than anyone is interested in! Plus this has cost me about 10p, totally bankrupting me.
