There is a wonderful surf lagooon, where the surf is created every 8 minutes - so you get some calm periods and then bob up and down in the waves. The water is salt as opposed to chlorine so is nice on the skin.
the real attraction of wet n wild are the water slides - there are the ones you expect - where you fly down a tube and emerge into a splash pool but the best two (in our opinion) are Der Stuka (see youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdFRg0dLeoU) and Disco h2o (see youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyoQdEh5OtQ). Julie sensibly didnt go on the stuka ride - I did :) we both went on the disco ride many times, we loved it.
as mentioned it was very hot and I spent the night suffering from heatstroke and was very very red.... i'm glad we quit the park at 3pm and didnt stay another hour, I would have been in real trouble.
overall wet n wild 10/10... brilliant day.
