Fully relaxed we headed to Koh Phi Phi which is south east of Phuket where we planned to do some diving. Phi Phi is a much smaller and more relaxed island but equally as touristy. We hadn't booked a room on the island so after hopping off the ferry we walked for what felt like a life time with our back pack in the boiling hot sun up and down the town until finally we found a room that was clean and at the right price. We did 2 dives in the Andaman sea one in between Koh Bida Nai/Nok and the other at Malong Bay on the west coast of Phi Phi Leh. The clarity of the water was good and the coral and abundance of sea life was excellent. We saw moray eels, sea horse, pipe fish, turtles, lion fish, scorpion fish and a leopard sharks a well as a whole number of other things. At lunch time we moored up opposite the world famous Maya Bay where the movie The Beach was shot.

Whilst on Phi Phi we ate some fantastic Thai food at a local restaurant that came highly recommended. If it hadn’t been recommended we may have thought twice before eating there as it was certainly a no frills, local Thai restaurant and amongst the drinks in the fridge were at least 3 cats! However, the quality and quantity of the food as well as the price were exceptional. Our favourite Thai dishes were green curry, garlic and pepper shrimp and tom yum which is a flavoured soup with seafood.
