Our last night in Namibia was spent camping in the south near to Fish River Canyon. The Canyon is the second largest in the world and one of the natural wonders of Africa. It certainly is a breath-taking sight stretching for over 160km. We arrived at the latter part of the day so we could enjoy a stroll along the top of the canyon before watching the sunset.

Namibia Fast Facts

Weather – Very dry and hot, cold at night

Beer –Windhoek and Tafel larger = 10 Rand = US$1.5

Currency – 1 Namibian Dollar = 1 South African Rand, US$1 = 7

Highlight – Etosha watering hole

Lowlight – Hot desert sun in the middle of the day – 40+ degrees
