Where I stayed
Our journey to the Namibian border ran smoothly until the truck would not start again after crossing passport control. After a long delay our last resort was to try and jump start the truck by pushing all 15 tons! It was unbelievable how easily 22 of us moved the truck and we had it started again in no time. However, after a failed repair we found ourselves once again pushing 15 tonnes – 'TIA, this is Africa'!
When we finally arrived in Windhoek we were introduced to Namibia with a real bed, the first since Zanzibar and a meal at a local game restaurant so instantly we were impressed. Joking aside our first impressions of Namibia are that it is far more westernised and doesn’t feel like ‘real’ Africa. There is infrastructure in place, some modern looking buildings and well developed cities. Our meal at Joes game restaurant was another experience. We tried Crocodile, Ostrich, Kudu and Zebra washed down with some South African wine. All of the game was very different but we were pleasantly surprised.

I'm sure you didn't tell me about the zebra tasting. Also George you'd had practice pushing then when you had to push the car out of the snow at Grandmas!!!
