We are back in Texas for a while before the BIG trip going Around the World Eastwards and visiting Australia.
On October 16th we left Texas for Oklahoma and then on through, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia to Pennsylvania. Monday evening of the 23rd we met our friend Darlene and for the first time her husband, Myron. They showed us their multilevel home complete with basement. Something that is rare in the rather flat lands that surround Houston.
After leaving Pittsburg we finally found our way via the back roads to Falling Water, the unique house built over a waterfall. Unfortunately by the time we arrived the house was closed so we only were able to view it from the gardens. We were somewhat disappointed by the views of the house as they were often spoilt by maintenance equipment that appeared to have been around for a long time.
We continued East to the Poconos where the Autumn foliage was impressive. From there we visited New Jersey and could see Manhattan from the New Jersey Turnpike. Our "picture" of the Empire State Building was just a blur so we moved on to Niagara Falls.
Please keep checking on our "progress".
