Wow!  Santorini is truly the most beautiful place I have ever seen.

Huong, Jennifer and I really enjoyed our time in Santorini!  We arrived Tuesday morning and our hotel was wonderful.  It overlooked the Caldera, and it really did not look real.  In fact, it was so beautiful, we all kept tripping over our feet because we were staring off into the distance and not paying attention while walking!  The first night we saw a great sunset from in front of our hotel.

Our first full day we laid by the pool all day long after going for a short hike up the hills in the morning.  We went into the little town of Oia (where we stayed) for dinner that evening and enjoyed a nice view over the water.

On Thursday we took an Catamaran tour around the island and visited the Red Beach, the volcano for a swim in the hot springs, and had good food and wine on the boat.  The weather was perfect!  That evening we ended up at the little place across the street from our hotel - Santorini Mou.  I would recommend it to everyone if you have a chance to go while in Santorini.  Michalis serenaded us with his guitar playing and singing, and Huong and I even learned how to do the traditional Greek dance.  He even gave us a signed cd when we left that evening!

The last day was a little dreary outside, but we were relaxed.  We went down to Amoudi for dinner and had some really fantastic seafood, and great views of the sunset.  After a little shopping, coffee and dessert - we hit the sack to get up to catch our ride at 5:30 AM to the airport!

Huong is off to Paris for the evening, Jennifer back home just in time to catch the Georgia game, and me - off to Munich for Oktoberfest!

Two words that were often said while we were in Santorini, and this pretty much sums it up - "Oh Yeeeah"
