I found the fog to be particularly thick today. "Thick as pea soup" is the expression. Around twenty after four, Dave and I found ourselves in Design Museum, discussing the postmodern techniques in art application. This evening we did more record shopping at Picadilly's Circus.
Yesterday we went shopping for music. Dave and I did a bit of a pub crawl, trying seven different types of beer; ale and bitters. The best one was called Sneck Lifter It was dark like Guinness and nutty, with a chocolate and coffee aftertaste. Greene King had a great flavour too, it is an India Pale Ale. Most beers were poured with manual hand pumps, and not exactly cold. They usually have choice of two different kinds of Guinness here, one poured cold and one poured room temperature. I also went to one of Dave's Ethics and International Relations lectures which was really interesting, the professor spent a year at Queen's University. We followed class with some shopping in the Portabello Road Market and a falaffal.
Monday night we went to a Kevin Spacey play called National Anthems, in Waterloo. There are a lot of names here that we have in Canada. Bayswater, Kingston, Camden... there's more...
We've been having a lot of funny adventures. I'm taking quite a few pictures to be posted at a later date.
